MultitudePays Tribute to Giorgio Armani in Milan Events - Mourners in Milan pay finally farewell to Giorgio Armani.
Giorgio Armani, the renowned Italian fashion designer and founder of the eponymous label, passed away on August 25, 2025. The news has sent shockwaves through the fashion industry, with tributes pouring in from all corners of the world.
Armani, who was associated with his label for over half a century, celebrated its 50th anniversary just weeks before his passing. Silvia Albonetti, an Armani employee, described him as an "incredible man" who was sometimes strict but always human.
In recent months, Armani had been dealing with health issues. This was evident when he missed the presentation of his men's collection in Milan in mid-June. For the first time since 2000, he also did not attend the Armani PrivΓ© show in July in Paris.
The mourning took place at the headquarters of his fashion house in Milan, which was once a chocolate factory. The sombre event was attended by close family members, including Roberta and Silvana, his nieces who work for the label. Roberta serves as Head of Entertainment & VIP Relations, acting as a liaison with high-profile clients, while Silvana is also involved in the company. Both are part of the family members helping to lead the brand after Armani's death.
Pietro Angeleri, a 20-year-old fashion student, stated that each of Armani's fashion shows was "pure magic." His designs, known for their elegance and timelessness, have left an indelible mark on the fashion world.
Armani's passing marks the end of an era in the fashion industry. However, his legacy will live on, as his label continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the globe. Each collection, much like the man himself, promises to be a testament to his unparalleled vision and enduring influence.
