Motorized Electric Latch Retraction (MELR) Mortise Locks from Corbin Russwin's ML2000 Series
The ML2000 Series MELR mortise locks, a collaboration between Corbin Russwin and the ASSA ABLOY Group, have been introduced to the market. These locks represent a fusion of electronic access and mechanical lock technologies, designed for demanding commercial, institutional, and industrial applications.
One of the standout features of the ML2000 Series is their compatibility with any access control system, making them versatile for various applications. They are also universally compatible with any access control software platform, ensuring seamless integration.
The locks are UL/cUL fire rated for 3-hour doors, providing an extra layer of safety. They are also UL294/UCL60839-11-1 Listed and Windstorm Certified, ensuring they can withstand harsh weather conditions. However, users are advised to refer to local codes for Windstorm Certification.
Lori Brown, Senior Product Manager at ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions, stated that these new locks set a new benchmark in security. They offer optional Request to Exit functionality, ensuring ease of use while maintaining security.
The ML2000 Series MELR mortise locks are designed to operate quietly and efficiently with low power consumption, making them ideal for a wide range of applications. They are adaptable for both in-swing and out-swing doors, increasing their versatility.
The locks are certified to ANSI/BHMA A156.13 Grade 1 and ANSI/BHMA A156.25 compliance standards, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards. They also offer fast latch bolt retraction in just half a second, ensuring quick and smooth operation.
These locks are particularly suitable for applications requiring automatic door operators and ADA compliance for handicap access. They reflect Corbin Russwin's commitment to environmental responsibility, making them an eco-friendly choice for businesses.
