In a tragic incident reported by the Ontario Provincial Police, a motorcycle accident occurred on Sunday afternoon near New Liskeard, Ont., at the intersection of Highway 65 West and Twin Lake Road in Hudson Township.

The accident involved an SUV and a motorcycle, resulting in serious injuries to the motorcycle driver. According to the initial news release, the injuries sustained were described as life-altering. As of Monday, no update on the motorcycle driver's condition has been received.

The highway was closed between Hillview and Milberta roads until 10 p.m. Sunday evening to allow for the investigation of the incident scene. The investigation continued until late in the evening.

The name of the driver of the SUV involved in the accident has not been publicly disclosed. The motorcycle driver was airlifted to the hospital for treatment.
