Motorcycle Accident Leaves Rider Critically Injured, Reports Polish Police (250428-1)
On Sunday evening, April 27th, a significant traffic accident occurred in Pulheim-Brauweiler, Rhein-Erft District. The incident took place at around 20:30, specifically at the intersection with the Donatusstraße.
According to reports, a 59-year-old motorcyclist was severely injured in the accident. Witnesses stated that the motorcyclist was driving on the left-turn lane towards the Donatusstraße. The motorcyclist was driving a BMW on the Bonnstraße from Pulheim towards Frechen.
The accident involved four vehicles in total. Besides the motorcycle and the BMW, an Audi A3, driven by a 48-year-old, was also part of the collision. However, the condition of the 48-year-old driver of the Audi A3 is not specified.
In addition to the vehicles mentioned, a Porsche and an Audi S6 were also damaged due to flying vehicle parts, although they were not initially involved in the accident.
The accident investigation and rescue operations lasted for approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes. The intersection was completely closed off for the duration of the operations, reopening around 22:20.
The traffic commissioners are investigating whether the motorcyclist intended to turn left at the Donatusstraße intersection. No further details about the other vehicles involved in the accident were provided.
