Moscow launches drone and missile attacks against Kiev

Russian drones and missiles targeted residential buildings in the Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts of Kyiv, marking the second such attack in recent days.

The attack caused additional casualties, but the exact number is not specified. Among the victims was a one-year-old child. Rescue workers found the child's body in the rubble.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv city administration, announced the casualties and damage caused by the Russian attack on residential buildings. At least two people died and eleven were injured in the attack.

Debris from the Russian drones hit a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district, causing structural damage. Another residential building in the Darnytskyi district was also hit by debris from the drones.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the locations of the hit buildings, but did not elaborate on any other specific locations. He did not confirm any retaliatory actions against the Russian attack on residential buildings in Kyiv.

The Russian attack on residential buildings in Kyiv is part of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The leader of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has been the president of Ukraine since 2019. There is no record of a new president having been elected on February 6, 2023.

This is a developing story and more information will be released as it becomes available.
