Monthly Canine Celebration Highlights Exceptional Four-Legged Individual

The Solingen Animal Shelter is currently looking for a loving home for two unique European Shorthair cats, Berry and Sherry. These striking red felines, who have been in the shelter's care since May, were rescued from a hoarder's apartment and have formed an inseparable bond.

Berry, the more reserved of the two, sports lighter fur and has a slimmer build, while Sherry, with her richer red fur and rounder figure, exudes more confidence. Both cats are low-maintenance and enjoy being close to their humans.

Sadly, Berry and Sherry have tested positive for Mykoplasmosis, a bacterial infection that affects the respiratory system. A calm, new home could help reduce the frequency of their antibiotic treatments. Their medication is administered without any issues, in the form of treats.

The ideal home for Berry and Sherry should be calm and without other cats, as they are an inseparable duo and will only be adopted together. While they are not the most playful indoor cats, their unique charm is undeniable.

The shelter encourages potential adopters to make an appointment to meet Berry and Sherry. As of now, there is no publicly available information about who is seeking to adopt these special cats. If introducing other cats to Berry and Sherry is necessary, both cats should be similarly affected by Mykoplasmosis.

Despite not having found their favourite food yet, Berry and Sherry seem to prefer dry food. However, it's best to avoid it for their health.

Berry and Sherry were estimated to have been born in March 2017. They have come a long way since their rescue and are now ready to find their forever home. If you think you could provide the calm and loving environment these two cats need, please get in touch with the Solingen Animal Shelter.
