Mohegan Sun Unveils 60 New Tesla EV Chargers in Connecticut Expansion
Mohegan Sun in Connecticut has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging options with 60 new Tesla Destination Chargers. The move comes as part of an ongoing partnership with Tesla and aims to meet rising demand for EV infrastructure in the state. The new chargers are spread across three key locations: Level Four of the Indian Summer Garage, Level Three of the Riverview Garage, and Level Two of the Winter Garage. Drivers can access them 24 hours a day, with real-time monitoring available through the Tesla app.
These Destination Chargers are also compatible with other EVs using Universal adapters. Mohegan Sun now claims the title of the largest single-site EV charging hub in Connecticut.
Jeff Hamilton, the resort's general manager and president, welcomed the installation. He noted that the casino is acting early to meet future demand, hoping to attract more visitors who drive electric vehicles. The expansion reflects Mohegan Sun's response to the increasing need for EV charging facilities. With 60 new chargers and round-the-clock availability, the resort strengthens its position as a leader in sustainable travel infrastructure. Drivers can now charge their vehicles while visiting the casino and entertainment complex.
