In the cultural heart of Wuppertal, a unique performance is about to take place. Titled "Ich habe es wieder geträumt", this production promises an immersive experience for audiences.

The stage designs, meticulously crafted by renowned artist Tony Cragg, are being transformed by film technician Frank Petzold into a new 360-degree projection format. The projections are designed to immerse the audience in the performance without distracting them, creating a truly captivating atmosphere.

The performance will feature a stellar lineup of performers. Alexander Balanescu, the Romanian-born composer, will enchant the audience with his violin solo. Balanescu, who has stops in Jerusalem, New York, London, and Wuppertal for the Pina-Bausch Tanztheater, is known for his mesmerising performances.

In addition to Balanescu, the performance will also showcase the talents of Luise Kinner, a renowned actor with a bundle of energy and an impressive voice. Kinner will read text passages during the performance, along with Ingeborg Wolff, a theater icon, and Bernd Kuschmann, a legendary actor. Pierre Siegenthaler, active in television and radio plays, will also participate in the reading.

There is a fascinating coincidence in the performance, as "Moby Dick" is mentioned. However, the performance will not involve Werner Dickel as a conductor, as he has retired from the Wuppertal branch of the Cologne University of Music and Dance. Dickel, after retiring as a professor of viola, plans to spend more time sailing after the performances.

Interestingly, Frank Petzold, the director of the play, will not only direct the production but also play a role in it. This promises a unique blend of creativity and performance, making "Ich habe es wieder geträumt" an event not to be missed.

The Wuppertal branch of the Cologne University of Music and Dance will not perform their final concert with Werner Dickel as conductor, as previously announced. Instead, the final concert will be conducted by Dickel's successor, yet to be announced.

With its immersive projections, captivating performances, and a touch of maritime mystery, "Ich habe es wieder geträumt" is set to be a memorable event in Wuppertal's cultural calendar. Don't miss out!
