In the late evening of the previous day, an explosion rocked the Lenin Mine in the Karaganda region, causing a stir among the local community and beyond.

At the time of the accident, 137 people were underground. Thankfully, all but the machine operator were successfully rescued. However, one unfortunate soul lost their life in the incident.

Two other individuals were hospitalized due to gas poisoning from the explosion. The patients, who are currently being treated in the toxicology department of the Karaganda Regional Medical Center, were experiencing symptoms such as headaches, vomiting, and nausea.

The cause of the explosion is still attributed to an increased release of methane gas and coal dust during the drilling of an exploratory well. The identity of the doctor who treated the poisoning victims is not publicly available at this time. The community hopes for the speedy recovery of the injured and mourns the loss of the life taken in this tragic event.
