Mikkelsen expresses concerns about his intimate life

Mads Mikkelsen, the 59-year-old Danish actor and frequent fixture on lists of Europe's most sexually appealing actors, has recently returned to a more traditional look after a brief foray into a perm hairstyle for a film. The perm, which he sported for two months, was quickly abandoned once filming wrapped up.

The black comedy "The Last Viking," directed by fellow Dane Anders Thomas Jensen, sees Mikkelsen playing a grown man with the emotional maturity of a child. The film is set to hit German cinemas later this year, though an exact release date has yet to be announced.

Mikkelsen presented "The Last Viking" at the Venice Film Festival, where he discussed his dislike for the perm hairstyle. "I felt sorry for all the women in the '80s, you always smelled like a sewer," he admitted. The perm apparently had a negative impact on his love life as well.

Despite the perm's short-lived tenure, Mikkelsen's current look is a classic one with a gray fringe. This change comes after he parted ways with the perm hairstyle, which he immediately had removed following the completion of filming.

"The Last Viking" is not the first collaboration between Mikkelsen and Jensen. The two have previously worked together on films such as "Adam's Apples" and "Ride Upon the Storm." Their latest collaboration promises to be another darkly humorous exploration of human nature, with Mikkelsen delivering a performance that is sure to captivate audiences.

As Mikkelsen continues to captivate audiences with his acting talents, it seems that his classic hairstyle will remain a staple of his on-screen presence. Fans can look forward to seeing him in "The Last Viking" when it hits German cinemas later this year.
