Migrant workers tragically lose their lives following a vehicle accident and rollover incident in Kuala Lipis.
In a heartbreaking incident, two Bangladeshi nationals, Shamim Reza (age 24) and Tuhin Ali (age 26), lost their lives in a road accident. The accident occurred while a four-wheel drive vehicle, carrying six Bangladeshi passengers, was negotiating a downhill bend on the way back to a workers' quarters in Kampung Tanjung Gahai.
The district police chief, Ismail Man, confirmed the unfortunate incident today. According to his statement, the vehicle skidded and overturned during the accident, resulting in the immediate deaths of Shamim Reza and Tuhin Ali at the scene.
The accident took place at the accident site named "Brahmanbaria," but the exact location was not specified in the article. The driver and all other passengers managed to escape unhurt from the accident.
The Lipis district police are currently investigating the accident, with the investigation continuing under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. No further details about the condition of the other passengers were provided.
