Michigan man wins $476K Fantasy 5 jackpot after months of no winners

A 63-year-old man from Kent County, Michigan, has claimed a $476,728 jackpot from the Fantasy 5 lottery. The lucky winner purchased his ticket at Alpine E-Z Mart in Comstock Park, securing the game's top prize after a string of unsuccessful draws this year.

The winning numbers for the draw were 02, 21, 29, 36, and 38. Players must match all five numbers, chosen from a pool of one to 39, to win the jackpot. Each Fantasy 5 play costs $1, with optional add-ons for extra chances.

The man decided to buy extra tickets after noticing the growing jackpot. The prize had climbed steadily from its starting amount of $100,000, as no one had won it in 2025 before this draw. For an additional $1 per play, players can activate EZmatch for instant wins up to $500 or Double Play for a second chance at $110,000 in a nightly drawing. The winner has already made plans for his windfall. He intends to deposit the full amount into his retirement savings, ensuring long-term financial security.

The jackpot was the first major Fantasy 5 win of the year in Michigan. The ticket was sold at Alpine E-Z Mart, located at 3623 Alpine Avenue Northwest in Comstock Park. With the prize now claimed, the next draw will reset to the base amount of $100,000.
