"Jam at the Hofbräuhaus" - Metal band Metallica offers Munich a tune.

Despite the thunderstorm and heavy rain, the four musicians didn't let it ruin their concert!

They performed iconic songs that made music history, such as "Nothing Else Matters" and "Whiplash."

Making it extra special for the Bavarian fans, Metallica had a new, never-before-heard song ready: the "Hofbräuhaus Funk Jam," an instrumental piece with two guitars.

The band performed on a circular stage, constantly changing positions. Hardcore fans celebrated in the "snake pit," where they were close to their idols.

Their next open-air concert will be at a festival near Vienna on June 1st.

A few hundred fans watched Metallica for free from the TV tower. Double benefit: The elevators in the TV tower will be shut down next Friday for a two-year refurbishment
