The merger adds over 110 U.S. locations to Menzies' footprint, including major hubs such as Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Denver International Airport. John Redmond, Menzies' Executive Vice President Americas, will continue to lead the region.
The combined company offers a wide range of services, including passenger assistance and cabin cleaning, in addition to ground, air cargo, and fuel services. G2's operations will be rebranded as Menzies Aviation, with integration beginning immediately.
The merger aims to meet growing airline demand for seamless, multi-airport service coverage. It also focuses on creating high-readiness infrastructure and raising standards across the U.S. and globally.
Menzies Aviation plans to implement global standards for training, safety, sustainability, and technology across all new operations. This implementation is aimed at ensuring a smooth transition for employees, customers, and partners. G2 senior management will join John Redmond's team.
The deal is expected to boost group revenue by 20%, taking it to more than $3.1 billion based on FY2024 figures. It is also anticipated to create jobs and upskilling opportunities, leveraging the expertise of G2's team.
The merger is expected to provide an opportunity to raise standards through training, safety, sustainability initiatives, and technology rollout. This combination adds operational resilience and new capabilities in ground services, making Menzies Aviation a formidable player in the global aviation industry.
