Menden's elusive shooter remains at large

The suspect, a 40-year-old man believed to hold Serbian-Montenegrin citizenship, is the prime suspect in this case. He is wanted in connection with the fatal shots fired at the German man. The suspect's residential address, where the crime took place, is currently a focus of the investigation.
Witnesses are being questioned as part of the investigation by the public prosecutor's office in Arnsberg. Preliminary reports suggest that the two victims were working at the construction site where the argument occurred, although this has not been officially confirmed.
Interestingly, the suspected perpetrator's wife, a 40-year-old woman from Bosnia-Herzegovina, was arrested at the scene but later released due to lack of evidence of involvement in the crime. She had last lived at the crime scene address.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a shop thief jumped into the Datteln-Hamm canal in an attempt to evade authorities. The police are still searching for the suspect and have no information about his whereabouts.
