Massive Turnout at Korean Exhibition within the Palace: Public Brimming with Excitement
In the heart of Dresden, the Residenzschloss is offering a unique cultural experience this weekend as the exhibition "100 Ideas of Happiness. Art Treasures from Korea" continues its captivating run until August 10, 2025.
Over 78,000 visitors have already immersed themselves in this dialogue between baroque and Korean court art, marked by more than 180 outstanding exhibits. These include valuable grave goods, magnificent jewelry, royal garments, and exquisite porcelain, many of which are part of the national treasure of Korea, such as the famous gold crown from Geumgwanchong.
On Saturday, visitors can participate in a Korean talisman workshop at 10 am, followed by a guided tour through the exhibition at 2 pm. For those who prefer Korean, a guided tour will be available at 1 pm on Sunday.
For those interested in a more interactive experience, "The Whole World is One Blossom", a participatory art action, is scheduled for Sunday at 3 and 4 pm.
The exhibition is a joint venture with the National Museum of Korea, and Marius Winzeler, Director of the Green Vault and the Armory, finds the exhibition particularly captivating.
To complement the exhibition, a Korean week (26 May to 1 June 2025) was part of the framework program, showcasing traditional music, dance, and culinary offerings.
More information about the exhibition, including the diverse weekend program, can be found at greenes-gewoelbe.skd.museum.
This weekend also offers a family-friendly opportunity, with a family afternoon in the Residenzschloss scheduled for Saturday from 3 pm.
