Massachusetts trust claims $4M lottery jackpot from 100X instant game
A Massachusetts lottery trust has claimed a $4 million jackpot from the state's 100X instant game. The Candy 2025 Trust of Lowell secured the top prize after buying a ticket at a local gas station. Their win came against odds of 1 in 5,376,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Pete's Gulf on Woburn Street in Lowell. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning slip. Instead of annual payments, the trust chose a lump sum, taking home $2.6 million before taxes.
The 100X instant game originally offered 250 top prizes of $4 million. With two now claimed, one remains available. Players can still win five $1 million prizes and 142 $10,000 rewards. Overall, the odds of winning any prize in the game—including smaller amounts—stand at 1 in 3.51. This latest win follows another Massachusetts resident's $1 million victory in the same $5,000,000 100X Cashword game.
The Candy 2025 Trust's win leaves fewer top prizes in the 100X instant game. Pete's Gulf in Lowell will benefit from the bonus for selling the ticket. Meanwhile, players continue to chase the remaining $4 million jackpot and other cash rewards.
