Maryland Athlete Secures $50,000 Lottery Victory with Birthday Numerals
In the heart of winter, the Maryland Lottery's "Let it Snow" promotion has brought a touch of magic to one lucky resident of Prince George County. The winner, a retired federal worker, has been playing the lottery for several years, and has developed a knack for winning big.
The story began on August 6 and 7, 2025, when the winner spotted a number on a truck tag during his commute. Intrigued, he decided to give it a try in the Maryland Pick 5 lottery, and to his surprise, he won $200,000. The excitement grew as he realised he had used his birth date numbers.
Fast forward to the present, and the winner has struck again, this time winning a top prize of $50,000 in the Pick 5 game. The winning ticket was purchased at Modern Liquors, located at 2358 Iverson Street in Temple Hills. The store will receive a $500 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the top prize-winning ticket.
The winner, who has chosen the nickname "Magic Touch," plans to use the winnings to remodel his mother's bathroom. He is not a novice player, and his recent wins have only added to his confidence.
Earlier this month, another resident of Maryland, a great-grandmother, also won a $200,000 scratch-off prize from the Maryland Lottery. The winner of the Ravens X10 scratch-off prize was shopping when they decided to try their luck with the Maryland Lottery.
Players of Pick 3, Pick 4, and Pick 5 games have a chance to win a $2 or $5 Instant Win voucher, a free $5 Merry Money Match FAST PLAY ticket, or other prizes in the "Let it Snow" promotion, which runs through December 29.
The Maryland Lottery encourages all players to check their tickets and to remember that every ticket sold could be a winning one. The image credit for this article is from Pixabay.com.
