Mårten Forste takes helm of Svenska Spel’s betting and iGaming division
Mårten Forste has been named the new CEO of Svenska Spel’s sports betting and iGaming division. He will take over the position in February, replacing Fredrik Wastenson, who left the company in November. The appointment follows Forste’s departure from ATG’s board of directors.
Forste brings over a decade of experience from LeoVegas, where he held key roles such as chairman and chief operating officer. Before that, he spent five years at Expekt, further building his expertise in the gaming sector. His new role will focus on growing Svenska Spel’s sports and casino operations, including well-known brands like Stryktipset and Oddset.
Forste’s move marks a shift in leadership for both Svenska Spel and ATG. His background in gaming and digital strategy is expected to shape the future of Svenska Spel’s betting and iGaming divisions. ATG will now work to fill the vacancy left by his departure.
