Marriott Hotel located at Potsdamer Platz is undergoing extensive renovations

The Berlin Marriott Hotel at Potsdamer Platz is undergoing a significant renovation, with the public areas scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025. The redesign aims to enhance the quality of stay and hospitality, blending minimalist Berlin design with Bauhaus elements.

The heart of the renovation is the reopening of the "Midtown Grill" restaurant, which will re-emerge in mid-September 2025 after a complete transformation. The interior will reflect a minimalist style, with concrete, dark wood, and leather defining the new atmosphere. The redesigned "Midtown Grill" will offer 189 seats, including 36 outdoors, combining minimalist Berlin design with American steakhouse flair.

A new dining lounge will replace the former smoker's lounge as part of the renovation. The "Chronobar," the central element of the renovation, references the first traffic light installed in Berlin in 1924 at Potsdamer Platz. The bar aims to create a meeting place that connects past and present through its design.

The renovated lobby will feature an open design with clear lines and warm colours, and an expanded concierge zone will take center stage, aiming to combine functionality and personal service. A "Quiet Lounge" will also be designed as a retreat, offering various uses while creating an inviting atmosphere.

The new design concept for the hotel was developed by Forsite Creative Europe in collaboration with the Global Design Team of Marriott International. The design combines Berlin minimalism with Bauhaus elements, using materials like marble, bronze, wood, and black metal.

Construction on the ground floor of the Berlin Marriott Hotel at Potsdamer Platz began in April 2025 and is expected to complete by mid-December. The reception area will reopen by the end of the year, marking the completion of the overall image of the Berlin Marriott Hotel.

In 2020, rooms, suites, and meeting areas at the Berlin Marriott Hotel were already modernized. The hotel is set to offer a fresh and modern experience, making it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travellers.
