Manila's $1.25B Entertainment City resort rebrands as Westside Resort under new operators
A major integrated resort in Manila's Entertainment City is getting a news name and operator. The $1.25 billion project, once called LET X, will now be known as Westside Resort. Ownership shifts have also taken place, with new partners stepping in to guide its development and future operations.
The resort's original developer, Suntrust Resort Developers Inc, still holds a 51 percent stake through Hong Kong's LET Group. However, Travellers International Hotel Group and Alliance Global Group have now taken over most of the remaining stake. This move has led to the creation of a new operating company, Entertainment City Resorts Corporation (ECRC), which is jointly owned by Alliance Global Group and Westside Bayshore Holding Corporation (WBHC).
Travellers International Hotel Group, which owns 60 percent of WBHC, will oversee daily operations at the resort. This includes managing gaming, hospitality, and entertainment services. While no detailed plans have been announced yet, the company will decide on the local operational structure in due course.
ECRC has officially taken over project management and revealed the new name, Westside Resort. The focus now shifts to completing the remaining development stages. The target remains set for the third quarter of 2026, with the project committed to maintaining high standards before opening to visitors, partners, and new staff.
The rebranding to Westside Resort marks a fresh direction for the Manila project. With ECRC leading development and Travellers handling operations, the resort aims to meet its 2026 completion date. The changes reflect a shift in ownership and strategy as the resort prepares for its future launch.
