Manchester's Bowling Alley Undergoing Major Renovations
Manchester's beloved bowling alley, previously known as "The Alley," is undergoing a significant makeover, with plans to reopen in mid-October, subject to weather and timeline conditions. Taz Kammiller, the new owner, took over the establishment in February and has been working tirelessly to bring a fresh and exciting experience to the city.
The facility, which had to close for business in early July, is currently undergoing a major remodel. The roof was removed last week, and the walls came down, making way for extensive renovations. The concourse area, arcade, and restaurant have all been expanded, providing more space for bowling enthusiasts and fun-seekers alike.
One of the most exciting additions to the reopened bowling alley will be the installation of a new BES X scoring system. This state-of-the-art system offers gaming options, ensuring a modern and engaging bowling experience for patrons. The 12 lanes will now feature automatic bumpers, adding an extra layer of fun for beginners and families.
The restaurant at "The Alley" will boast a brand-new kitchen, while a new bar will be available for patrons to enjoy a refreshing drink during their visit. A second-floor balcony has also been added on the bowling side, offering a unique vantage point for spectators.
New and enlarged restrooms have been constructed, ensuring comfort for all visitors. The bowling lanes, which are in ideal condition, were covered for protection and will be used in the new building.
The remodel, originally planned for the summer, was necessitated by roofing issues that required larger improvements. New footings have been poured this week for the new structure at "The Alley's" east side location in Manchester.
Taz Kammiller, the owner, aims to reopen the renovated bowling alley, now called "The Alley," in November 2025. To add to the excitement, a new cosmic lighting system will be implemented, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere for bowlers and spectators alike.
Stay tuned for more updates on Manchester's revitalised bowling alley, "The Alley," as it prepares to reopen its doors and offer an unparalleled bowling experience to the city's residents and visitors.
