Manchester United secured a late victory over Burnley, thanks to Bruno Fernandes' dramatic 95th-minute penalty.
In a thrilling Premier League encounter, Manchester United emerged victorious against Burnley, winning 3-2 in a nail-biting finish.
The match started with United taking an early lead, as Josh Cullen inadvertently found the back of his own net in the 27th minute. However, Burnley responded quickly, levelling the score early in the second half through Lyle Foster.
United's captain, Bruno Fernandes, was instrumental in the game, playing a crucial role in securing the win for manager Ruben Amorim. Fernandes scored the decisive penalty in the 95th minute, sealing the victory for the Red Devils.
Despite Amorim's decision to introduce £74million new striker Benjamin Sesko for the final 15 minutes, Sesko was unable to find the back of the net twice. The young striker, who started on the bench for the third consecutive Premier League game, had opportunities to score but was denied.
Burnley restored their lead less than two minutes later, with Bryan Mbeumo scoring his first Premier League goal since his move from Brentford. Mbeumo met Diogo Dalot's cross to put Burnley back in front.
However, Jaidon Anthony drew Burnley level in the 67th minute, capitalising on a parried effort by Altay Bayindir. The equaliser came just moments after a fine offside call denied Burnley a second equaliser through Lyle Foster.
In the closing stages of the game, Rodrigo Gomes scored a consolation goal for Wolves in the 79th minute, but it was not enough to prevent United from securing all three points.
Elsewhere, Jack Grealish starred as Everton beat Wolves 3-2, with Beto, Imilan Ndiaye, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall scoring for the Toffees. Meanwhile, Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur played out a 1-0 win for Bournemouth, with Evanilson's early deflected effort securing the victory.
Ruben Amorim's decision to drop goalkeeper Andre Onana after his role in both Grimsby goals may have paid off, as United managed to hold on for the win against Burnley. Both Bournemouth and Tottenham are now level on six points after three matches.
