In an alarming incident that took place early Sunday morning, a 32-year-old individual found himself in a precarious situation after a car accident on the Bundesstraße 260 in the Taunus region.
The accident occurred between Wiesbaden and Schlangenbad, leaving the individual's vehicle heavily damaged and missing a front wheel. The exact location where the car lost its fourth wheel is currently unknown, but it is believed to have happened somewhere along the stretch of road between the two towns.
Despite the accident, the individual continued his journey, driving with only three wheels. Witnesses reported the incident to the police, who pulled the damaged car off the federal road around 3:50 AM.
In a concerning turn of events, the police reported an alcohol breath test reading of nearly two promille for the individual, indicating that he was driving under the influence at the time of the accident.
Making matters worse, the individual was also driving without a valid driver's license. He continued driving, damaging the road, until his journey ended at an incline.
Thankfully, the individual's 12-year-old son was on board during the accident but is reported to be unharmed. The incident is currently under investigation by the local authorities.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of driving under the influence and the importance of having a valid driver's license. It is crucial for all road users to prioritise safety and responsibility when behind the wheel.
