In the heart of Essen, a shooting incident occurred on Monday, July 14th, at a residential building on Siemensstraße. The incident involved a 57-year-old suspect and a 37-year-old man from Essen.

The victim, a 37-year-old Syrian citizen, was reportedly the target of the shooting. The suspect fired shots at a window where the victim was located, but fortunately, missed.

The suspect, believed to be a Lebanese national, fled the scene in a grey Mercedes E 220 CDI, with the license plate E-QH2756. Despite extensive efforts, the suspect remains at large.

The Essen police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident, supported by investigators from the BAO Clan. The police are also appealing for witnesses who may have information about the incident, the suspect, or the fleeing vehicle to come forward.

Witnesses can contact the police at 0201/829-0 or email their information to [email protected].

In a bid to intensify the investigation, a homicide unit led by the Essen Public Prosecutor's Office has been established. The police are also investigating a possible clan connection in relation to the suspect.

However, there is no available information in the search results about a suspect with the license plate E-QH2756 fleeing in connection with the shooting on Siemensstraße or any possible clan affiliation.

The police believe that the suspect may have had a prior argument with the victim. They are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward to help bring the perpetrator to justice.

The safety and well-being of the community remains the top priority for the Essen police, and they are actively searching for the suspect to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for all residents.
