Man apprehended in May 2014 under suspicion of murdering a female resident in a southern household.

In an unprecedented incident, a 21-year-old man, who is a Ukrainian citizen, is currently in custody for allegedly attempting manslaughter in the small town of Gauselfingen. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, when the suspect, driving a Peugeot, allegedly drove his car towards a group of construction workers.

The car involved in the incident was seized, and the suspect was provisionally arrested at the scene by police officers. His 20-year-old accomplice was also identified by witnesses and arrested shortly afterwards.

The 30-year-old worker suffered hand injuries that required medical treatment in a clinic. However, the two workers were able to escape by jumping aside and were not injured. The younger suspect is under investigation for suspected dangerous bodily harm, while the older suspect is being investigated for attempted manslaughter.

The Public Prosecutor's Office Hechingen and the Police Headquarters Reutlingen are leading the investigation. The 21-year-old suspect was brought before the remand court at Hechingen District Court and custody was ordered. He was taken to a prison in the evening after the necessary measures were completed.

The incident took place in Gauselfingen, where the suspect was reported to have been speeding in Schulstraße. It is said that he was asked to drive slower, but instead, he allegedly accelerated and drove towards the workers, causing the car to jump over a construction pit. The suspect is also reported to have taken a jack from the Peugeot and hit a 30-year-old worker with it.
