Peter Wackel Brings Mallorca's Party Vibe to Pforzheim

Peter Wackel, the renowned German singer, once again set the stage ablaze at the Oechsle Festival in Pforzheim. On Friday evening, the market square transformed into a mini Playa de Palma, as Wackel's lively performance turned the city into a beach-like party atmosphere, without the sunburn.

The atmosphere during Wackel's performance was so vibrant that communication was difficult in the thick of it. Fans held up signs expressing their love for Wackel, turned beer benches into dance floors, and the noise level was deafening.

Wackel, an Erlangen native, has since become a staple in Mallorca's party scene and German beer tents. His music has made him a nationwide success and a constant name in party schlager. Some of his hits include "Joana" and the cult classic "Fuck it!".

The crowd at the festival was lively, with fans gathering tightly in front of the stage. Young fans were also present, wearing fan shirts with slogans like "New York, Malle, Pforze" and "I love Oechsle" (Oechsle Malle style).

Samuel Strambach from Ispringen, who was new to Peter Wackel, discovered his songs fitting perfectly with the Oechsle Festival. Lara Halbrock from Eisingen, who missed Mallorca, found Peter Wackel bringing the Malle atmosphere to Pforzheim. Fans at the Oechsle Festival enjoyed Wackel's performance, even if they couldn't physically be in Mallorca.

The idea to engage Peter Wackel for the Oechsle Festival 2025 in Pforzheim came from an invitation by the friendly Kalman Hafner GmbH, presented by them in cooperation with the event organizers WSP - Wirtschaft und Stadtmarketing Pforzheim. The "Oechsle Fever" captured by the crowd indicates that the festival successfully replicated the Malle party atmosphere.

The performance began at 8:30 PM, transforming the market square into a celebration street. The crowd enthusiastically sang along to the updated versions of Wackel's hits, such as "Oechsle Fever" and "Oechsle is only once a year." Wackel gained fame in 1999 with his song "Party, Palms, Women, and a Beer."

In the thick of the lively crowd, some audience members admitted that they knew Peter Wackel's songs from carnival. The market square during Wackel's performance became a dance floor where fans turned beer benches into makeshift dance floors. The performance was not a replacement for Mallorca, but it offered a similar party experience.

As the night came to a close, the atmosphere remained electric, with fans continuing to dance and sing, long after the last note of Wackel's performance had faded away. The Oechsle Festival 2025 was undoubtedly a night to remember, bringing a taste of Mallorca to Pforzheim.
