Malami's Attack Unjustified, Claims Kebbi Government, as He Allegedly Violated Law; APC and Governor Not Implicated

In the heart of Kebbi State, a recent incident involving the attack on the convoy of former Attorney General Abubakar Malami has sparked controversy. The state government, however, has firmly denied any involvement in the incident.

Ahmad Idris, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Nasir Idris, swiftly dismissed claims that the state government was responsible for the violence as "false and misleading." Governor Nasir Idris, too, has been cleared of any wrongdoing, with the public assured that he did not have a hand in the incident.

The Nigerian police filed the charge against Malami's convoy, but no new details about the nature of the charge or the evidence supporting it have been disclosed. In response, a committee headed by the State Commissioner of Police was established to investigate the matter and ensure justice is done to all parties.

The investigation committee's progress has not been made public, but it's worth noting that Governor Nasir Idris immediately ordered investigations after the attack. In the aftermath, he also summoned a security meeting and ordered enhanced security in the state.

Meanwhile, other dignitaries, including Senator Adamu Aliero, paid condolence visits to Kebbi without any incidents or disruptions. Peace returned to Birnin Kebbi within a few hours of the incident, and everything is back to normal life.

However, Malami's actions are suggested to have overstepped his boundaries. He breached the law by using a convoy and sirens in Birnin Kebbi as an ordinary citizen. This breach of protocol may have provoked the incident, but no concrete evidence has been presented to support this claim.

Malami's supporters, who were stopped in front of the APC office, were seen shouting slogans while members inside were observing prayers. No new information about Malami's innocence or the false claims of his involvement in the attack has been provided.

The Kebbi State government, in its commitment to upholding the truth and maintaining peace, has reiterated its denial of any involvement in the attack. The people of Kebbi can rest assured that the investigation is ongoing, and justice will be served.
