The driver of the car was a 59-year-old woman from Emsdetten, who was travelling in the direction of Münster on the B54. For unknown reasons, she entered the opposite lane, resulting in a collision with the oncoming truck.
The driver of the truck was a 24-year-old man from Wettringen. The woman was fatally injured in the collision, and no information was provided about the condition of the truck driver.
