The funds were disbursed under the Ladli Behna Yojana, a scheme supporting over 2.67 crore registered women in Madhya Pradesh. Each eligible recipient received Rs 1250 as part of the programme's 23rd installment. The Ladli Behna Yojana was launched to boost economic independence, health, and nutrition among women in the state. Since its start, the initiative has distributed more than Rs 35,000 crore. Married women aged 21 to 60, including widows, divorced, and abandoned individuals, qualify for the monthly payments.
