The acquisition will not only increase Macadam's workforce to 700 professionals but also boost its turnover to an anticipated €50 million. This strategic move is part of Macadam's ambitious plan to perform one million vehicle scans per annum by 2024.

SGS Automotive brings to the table profound experience in Retail Network & Dealer Audit, a service that will complement Macadam's existing offerings. This addition will enable Macadam to offer the knowledge, processes, and tools to manage more flexible fleets, including fleets of young used cars and fleet compounds.

The integration of the two companies, under the banner of Macadam.ONE, aims to bring together one team, one system, and one focus - the customer. The AI inspection tool, a key asset of Macadam, will be used as a support, not a standalone solution, to ensure the highest quality of service.

The acquisition also marks a shift towards an agency model, a change that will require a higher level of customer intimacy and evaluation using the same criteria for all agents. This model, along with the increasing size of fleets and the advent of electrification, will impact Macadam's business significantly.

To manage these changes, Macadam is aiming for all activities and tools to be on one system by 2024. The company's investment in autonomous vehicle inspections since 2016 will also play a crucial role in this transition.
