Lynchian film extravaganza begins on TCM tonight
On July 11, 2025, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay tribute to the late, great filmmaker David Lynch by hosting a movie marathon showcasing some of his most iconic works.
The marathon begins at 8pm Eastern Time with the 1999 bio-road drama The Straight Story. Based on the true story of Alvin Straight's 1994 journey across Iowa and Wisconsin on a lawn mower, this film is one of Lynch's most accessible and mainstream works, having been released under the Walt Disney banner.
At 10pm ET, Blue Velvet will be aired, a 1986 neo-noir mystery starring Kyle MacLachlan. The official trailer for this film is available to watch.
Twin Peaks fans won't want to miss the 1992 prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me at 2:30am ET.
The marathon concludes with Lynch's black-and-white sci-fi masterpiece Eraserhead at 5am ET.
