Luxury Miami Beach property once owned by Rosie O'Donnell fetches a $36 million sale price.
Russell Weiner, the founder of Rockstar Energy, has purchased a luxurious property on Miami Beach's exclusive Star Island enclave. The sale was confirmed, and the property was previously owned by Rosie O'Donnell.
The property spans over an acre and boasts a Mediterranean-style mansion. The main home is accompanied by two separate guesthouses, offering a total of eight bedrooms and 11 baths in approximately 11,000 square feet.
The property's allure extends beyond its interior, with more than 200 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage. It includes a freeform pool with a slide, an air-conditioned four-car garage, a boathouse, a private dock with a 40,000-pound boat lift, and other amenities.
The sale price of $36 million marks a substantial discount from the Frankels' initial asking price for the property, which was listed at $54 million, then dropped to $48 million. However, Weiner plans to expand and renovate the estate to around 15,000 square feet, adding luxury amenities like a spa, gym, cabana, and padel court.
The Star Island enclave is home to several notable figures, including Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Rick Ross, and Sean "Diddy" Combs. Notably, Vlad Doronin sold his Star Island estate for a record-breaking $120 million earlier this year.
Meanwhile, O'Donnell has recently sold her New York City penthouse in Midtown Manhattan's Turtle Bay neighborhood for around $7 million.
Both sides of the deal were represented by Liz Hogan of Compass. The search results do not provide information about the real estate agent responsible for the sale of the Star Island Miami Beach property acquired by Russell Weiner from the Frankel family.
In addition to his new Star Island property, Weiner also owns a home in L.A.'s Beverly Park enclave and an investment property in the Hollywood Hills. Ken Griffin, a hedge fund billionaire, has spent over $169 million on seven contiguous parcels on Star Island since 2023.
The property on Vail, CO, and Indigo Bay, Sint Maarten, are also listed for sale, priced at $27,000,000 USD and $2,724,800 USD, respectively. However, this article does not provide further details about these properties.
Wendy Bowman, a real estate writer, penned this article for an unspecified website. The sale of the Star Island property marks another significant transaction in Miami Beach's real estate market, showcasing the continued appeal of the exclusive Star Island enclave.
