Luxury audio brand Goldmund aims to satisfy audio enthusiasts who prefer streamlined setups, offering an integrated amplifier that delivers top-notch sound quality without the need for multiple audio components.
The Swiss audio manufacturer, Goldmund, has announced the release of their newest integrated amplifier, the Telos 670. This latest addition to their lineup is designed for audiophiles seeking a high-fidelity audio experience without the need for numerous components.
The Telos 670 is equipped with Goldmund's proprietary 'Telos' amplification technology, which ensures a wide bandwidth and ultra-low distortion. The amplifier's Class A/B circuit is designed to deliver 250 watts of power at 8 ohms, providing enough power to drive passive loudspeakers with "effortless authority".
The Telos 670's aluminum casing acts as a passive heat sink, maintaining optimal thermal conditions without the need for active cooling. This design feature, along with the conic feet that provide supreme stability and channel vibrations away from the internal electronics, contribute to preserving sonic clarity across the frequencies.
The Telos 670 comes with single optical and coaxial inputs, five RCA analogue inputs, a USB Type B port, and a digital module that can handle PMC files up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD128. The amplifier is available in either a grey or black finish.
While the Telos 670 is not mentioned in the list of the 8 best integrated stereo amplifiers chosen by the experts, it stands out for its unique features and high-end performance. Compared to its bigger brother, the Telos 690, the Telos 670 is relatively affordable by Goldmund's standards, costing £32,500, $36,250, or AU$60,000 less.
Further prices for the Goldmund Telos 670 are pending. Other audio equipment being tested this month includes Monitor Audio's Bronze speakers, a Musical Fidelity amplifier, and Yamaha's Dolby Atmos soundbar.
A review of the Goldmund Telos 690 is available on the website, offering a deeper insight into Goldmund's audio technology and the performance of their flagship integrated amplifier. For those seeking a more affordable yet high-performing option, the Telos 670 might just be the perfect choice.
