Luxembourg's Spuerkeess teams up with LUXHUB to incorporate meal voucher services
Spuerkeess, the Luxembourg state-owned bank, has expanded its e-banking services by integrating with meal voucher service provider Up Luxembourg. This partnership is part of Spuerkeess' strategy to widen its offering to other sectors, as it continues to strive towards its "beyond banking" vision.
Founded by four major banks in Luxembourg, including Spuerkeess, LUXHUB is the Open Finance provider that has enabled this integration. LUXHUB offers a range of services, including compliance services focused on PSD2, FIDA, and Verification of Payee, as well as account aggregation and payment initiation solutions.
The integration allows Spuerkeess' 320,000 S-Net clients to view their Up Meal Vouchers account via e-banking. To access this new feature, clients need to connect to S-Net, click on 'Add account', and add their Up credentials. This service provided by LUXHUB is entirely free of charge.
S-Net, used by clients as a "centralised hub" for all their bank accounts, now includes Up Luxembourg meal vouchers as part of its comprehensive offering. With this integration, Spuerkeess clients can now check their Up Luxembourg meal vouchers balance through the S-Net e-banking solution and S-Net Mobile. They can also access detailed historical transactions data for their Up Luxembourg meal vouchers account.
Alicia Brun, country manager at Up Luxembourg, expressed that this partnership will allow Up Luxembourg to continue innovating to enhance user experience. Alain Scholtes, deputy head of innovation office at Spuerkeess, stated that this new innovation is an additional step forward in their mission to offer financial services that exceed clients' usual expectations.
Michel Vervenne and Claude Meurisse, the current and former CEOs of LUXHUB respectively, are pleased to take part in the innovation made in Luxembourg with the integration of Up Luxembourg meal vouchers balance in Spuerkeess' e-banking. This integration is considered a complete offer by Spuerkeess, moving in the direction of Open Finance.
Spuerkeess, established to promote savings, facilitate access to housing, and support the development of the national economy, continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and improving the financial lives of its clients.
