Lüneburg district is on the hunt for fresh integration officials
The County of Lüneburg, in partnership with the Lower Saxony Volunteer Academy and the Lüneburg Adult Education Center, is offering a free qualification program for Integration Guides. Starting on August 30, 2025, the program will take place at the facilities of the vhs REGION Lüneburg.
This 30-lesson training is designed to equip volunteers with the necessary skills to assist immigrants in practical ways, such as helping with arrivals or overcoming language barriers. The curriculum covers topics like intercultural competence, conversation skills, and social participation.
Volunteers can choose how intensively they want to engage, with options including individual accompaniment, projects, or group offers. Those interested can register immediately by providing the course number 252-17300 via email at [email protected] or by calling 04131 1566-0.
The program is funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs, Labor, Health, and Equality. After successful completion, graduates will be officially recognised as Integration Guides.
A ceremonial presentation of certificates of completion is planned for October 10, 2025. The training resumes on September 6, 2025, with a session on September 20, 2025, concluding early at 13:00.
