This Saturday, the much-anticipated Love Parade will take place in Berlin, with the anniversary event happening under the motto "Basses connect". The parade, a political demonstration with techno music, will begin at Mauerpark, Bernauer Straße 48, at 1 PM and is expected to end around 9 PM.

The Love Parade is a significant event in Berlin, taking place alongside several other major events on the same day. Revelers will march from Mauerpark in Prenzlauer Berg to Moritzplatz in Kreuzberg during the parade.

The Love Parade route includes several major intersections and streets in Berlin, such as Schönhauser Allee/Eberswalder Straße, Prenzlauer Allee/Danziger Straße, Greifswalder Straße/Danziger Straße, Landsberger Allee/Danziger Straße, Platz der Vereinten Nationen, Strausberger Platz, Otto-Braun-Straße/Karl-Marx-Allee, Spandauer Straße/Grunerstraße, Spandauer Straße/Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, Unter den Linen/Friedrichstraße, Leipziger Straße/Friedrichstraße, Axel-Springer-Straße/Leipziger Straße, Axel-Springer-Straße/Oranienstraße, ending at Oranienstraße/Lobeckstraße.

Due to the Love Parade, there will be no traffic flow on the parade route from 1 PM to 10 PM. In addition, from 9 AM to 3:30 PM, the Bernauer Straße/Eberswalder Straße will be fully closed in both directions between Brunnenstraße and Schönhauser Straße. From 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM, the Oranienstraße between Axel-Springer-Straße and Alexandrinenstraße will be fully closed.

These significant traffic disruptions will affect Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain, and Mitte from 1 PM to 10 PM. The Berlin police have already started building barriers against cars for the Love Parade over a week in advance.

The Love Parade is solely funded through donations, with the organizers aiming to reach their 1000 euro fundraising goal for the event. As of the 23rd of August, 688 euros have been donated towards this goal.

In addition to the Love Parade, there will be BFC fans and two Palestine demos in Berlin on the same day. The afterparty will take place at Ritter Butzke starting at 9 PM.

However, there is a fear of attacks associated with these events in Berlin.
