The National Heads-Up Poker Championship Returns with a Star-Studded Lineup

The National Heads-Up Poker Championship is back, and it's bigger than ever. This prestigious tournament, a partnership between PokerGO and PokerStars, has attracted some of the biggest names in poker, including defending champion Mike "The Mouth" Matusow, WSOP Main Event champion Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, and Phil Laak.

The tournament, which has a $25,000 buy-in and a single-elimination bracket, has divided the 64 players into four regions: Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds.

In the Hearts Region, Keith Lehr will face influencer Bryce Hall, Frankie Brannan will play against Garrett Adelstein, and Mike Matusow will square off against Stephen Chidwick. Justin Young will take on Phil Laak in the Clubs Region, while Jesse Lonis will play against Kristen Foxen and Justin Gavri will face John Smith.

The Spades Region features matchups between Tyler Montoya against Jason Calacanis, Richard Seymour against Matt Berkey, and Erik Seidel against Andrew Robl. Erick Lindgren will try to beat Jason Koon, and Chino Rheem drew Nick Wright. Ren Lin has to face Brian Rast, and Matt Salsburg will face Johnny Vibes.

The Diamonds Region includes Chris Moneymaker against Igor Kurganov, Xuan Liu against Doug Polk, and Victoria Livschitz against David Williams. Alan Keating will play against Shaun Deeb, and Kenney will face Vinny Lingham. If Kenney manages to get by Lingham, he will have to beat either Lonis or Foxen to advance.

The tournament's second round will see some exciting matchups. The winner of Rheem vs. Wright will face Lindgren or Koon, while the winner of Lehr vs. Hall will face either Brannan or Adelstein. Boeree and Pollak will square off for the opportunity to face the winner of Keating and Deeb.

The tournament will air episodes this fall on Peacock and in the spring on PokerGO. The search results do not contain information about the players in the Spades group of the National Heads-Up Poker Championship.

The National Heads-Up Championship payouts have not been announced yet. However, one thing is certain: this year's tournament promises to be an exciting showdown of poker's biggest stars.
