New Mercedes-Benz E 300L Debuts at Beijing Auto Show

The Mercedes-Benz E 300L, a new model within the E-class lineup, is set to make its debut on the second press day of the Beijing Auto Show, scheduled for Saturday, April 24, 2010.

This special edition model, specifically designed for the Chinese market, will be powered by a 3.0 V6 engine and a 1.8 four-cylinder engine. The design of the new Beijing-Benz E 300L was developed by the Beijing Benz design team in China.

The E 300L boasts an extended wheelbase of 14 centimeters, making it a long wheelbase version of the standard E-class model. This new model will compete with the Audi A6L, BMW 530L, and Volvo S80L in the Chinese market.

Interestingly, the Beijing Auto Show, where the E 300L will be unveiled, also saw the launch of the BAIC Beijing BJ90, a new model that is a clone of the Mercedes GL.

While the Beijing-Benz is a new car brand, it is not clear if it is a new model or a brand in itself. The production version of the Mercedes-AMG A35 L 4matic has also been launched as part of the show.

It's worth noting that the E 300L, like the BAIC Beijing BJ90, is manufactured in China. However, the context of this news does not provide enough information to extract any additional self-contained facts about the retail bestselling brands in China for March 2024.

The E 300L's debut at the Beijing Auto Show marks another significant step in Mercedes-Benz's commitment to the Chinese market, further expanding their offerings and catering to the growing demand for luxury vehicles in the region.
