Local teen from Kamchatka has created a digital tour guide for his home town
In a remarkable display of technological prowess, a 15-year-old student from Kamchatka has created a virtual guide bot named "Vivi". This Telegram bot, reported by the "41 Region" publication, functions as a comprehensive source of information about Kamchatka's attractions and assists in travel planning.
Ruslan Barsukov, the brain behind "Vivi", has been self-studying programming since the fourth grade. His admiration for the beauty of Kamchatka and his observation that many locals lack knowledge about its history and attractions served as the inspiration for this project.
The development of "Vivi" cost over 15,000 rubles, which covered server rental, domain, and hosting expenses. Ruslan spent approximately three months bringing "Vivi" to life while living in Kamchatka.
"Vivi" provides valuable information about various attractions in Kamchatka, including volcanoes, bears, and thermal springs. It serves as a useful tool for both residents and visitors of Kamchatka, helping them plan their travel routes within the region.
Ruslan has ambitious plans for "Vivi". He intends to expand the bot's capabilities, including the addition of a video generation function. This update will further enhance the user experience, making "Vivi" an even more engaging and interactive virtual assistant.
So far, 40 people have used the "Vivi" Telegram bot, demonstrating its potential to become a valuable resource for those exploring Kamchatka. Ruslan developed "Vivi" with the aim of increasing knowledge about Kamchatka's history and attractions among its residents and visitors.
As a testament to Ruslan's dedication and talent, "Vivi" is a shining example of what can be achieved with passion, hard work, and a deep love for one's homeland.
