LKA investigates residence of Mannheim's killer.

On Friday evening, police from the Baden-Württemberg State Office of Criminal Investigation searched a nondescript high-rise building in Heppenheim, where they found the residence of knife attacker Sulaiman A. (25) from Mannheim.

An anti-Islam critic was assaulted, leaving multiple individuals stabbed. - LKA investigates residence of Mannheim's killer.

A man from Afghanistan attacked Michael Stürzenberger (59), a critic of Islam, during a rally for Bürgerbewegung Pax Europa on Mannheim Market Square on Friday morning. During the chaos, the attacker injured five more people before being shot by a police officer. A police officer who was attacked with a knife in the back of his head is currently in critical condition.

Sulaiman A., the assailant, is at the hospital and unable to be interviewed, said the LKA.

The LKA is hoping to gain insights through the search of his apartment. A representative stated, "We are particularly interested in learning about his motive. What is the purpose of the knife? Where did it come from? Did he buy the knife?"

They aim to determine whether the attack was premeditated or impromptu. The State Protection Office is also investigating.

The police operation in the high-rise in Hessen concluded just before 11 pm on Friday night.
