Living spaces embody the essence of affection, and they're also the locations of outstanding educational institutions.
In a recent study, Barrows and Forrester, a multi-award-winning independent lettings and estate agent, has identified the regions in England with the highest number of top-rated schools. The research was conducted by calculating the number of Ofsted-rated Good or Outstanding schools per 100,000 homes in England.
According to the findings, the North West region provides the strongest ratio for hopeful parents, with 82 top-rated schools per 100,000 homes. Close behind are the East Midlands, the West Midlands, and the East of England, each boasting 73 top-rated schools per 100,000 homes.
The study also revealed that in the 2021-22 Ofsted inspections, a total of 18,099 schools in the country were graded Good or Outstanding. This equates to 72 such schools for every 100,000 homes in England.
James Forrester, managing director of Barrows and Forrester, recommends that parents who are keen to secure a place at a top-rated school start the home buying process as early as possible. He advises against making the move less than a year before kids are due to start at the school, as it is too risky.
However, the market churn in locations with high-rated schools is likely to be low, meaning buying opportunities are few and far between. The regions with the hardest task for parents to find a home within the catchment area of a Good or Outstanding school are London (64), the North East (67), and the South West (69).
It's worth noting that the search results do not provide information about the region with the most top-rated schools based on the study by Barrows and Forrester.
Unfortunately, schools in England are currently facing a difficult time. Last week, it was exposed that a vast amount of educational establishments across the UK were unable to re-open in time for children going back this month due to being constructed using unstable concrete, putting children's safety at risk.
