Liverpool's Transfer Saga: Tsimikas' Potential Move to Roma and Alexander Isak Target

Liverpool FC are in the midst of a busy transfer window, with several key developments unfolding.

In a potential departure, Greek left-back Kostas Tsimikas has reportedly agreed to a move to AS Roma, according to various sources. This follows Liverpool setting an asking price of around €8-10m for the defender, who is currently on loan at the Italian club.

Tsimikas, valued at €18m according to Transfermarkt, has failed to make the bench in the opening two fixtures of Liverpool's title defense. His departure could pave the way for the arrival of Alexander Isak, ranked at no.4 in our website's list of the best strikers in the world right now. Liverpool are reportedly targeting the Swedish international before the transfer window closes.

Andy Robertson, the Scotland captain and Liverpool's first-choice left-back, has been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer, with Atletico Madrid reportedly showing interest. However, Robertson came on as a substitute in the Premier League opener against Bournemouth and looks to have a squad role this term.

Liverpool's defensive reshuffle is not the only change at the club. The Reds have spent almost £300 million on new players such as Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Giorgi Mamardashvili, Hugo Ekitike, and others.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have also sold players this transfer window, bringing in almost £200m from Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Diaz, and Darwin Nunez's big-money exits. These transactions, combined with potential incoming transfers, make for Liverpool's busiest summer ever.

Despite these changes, Liverpool have maintained their impressive form, boasting a 100% record in the Premier League this season. On Sunday, they host Arsenal in what promises to be an exciting match. Marseille and Nottingham Forest are also reportedly interested in Tsimikas, should he leave Liverpool, but AS Roma appears to be his confirmed destination for the 2025-26 season on loan.
