Wrexham Continues Summer Spree with New Signings

Wrexham Football Club, under the ownership of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has been busy in the 2025-26 summer transfer window, strengthening their squad ahead of the upcoming Championship season.

The North Wales-based club has welcomed a host of new faces, including Conor Coady, Lewis O'Brien, and Kieffer Moore, who have joined for fees of £2m, £5m, and £2m respectively. The fees for the new signings range from £0.7m to £10m, with Danny Ward joining on a free transfer.

Coady, O'Brien, and Moore join a diverse group of new recruits, hailing from Wales, England, New Zealand, and Italy. Nathan Broadhead, Callum Doyle, Liberato Cacace, and Kieffer Moore are the latest additions to the team, while George Thomason, Ryan Hardie, Josh Windass, and Paul Mullin have also joined the ranks.

Notably, Mullin has been loaned to Wigan Athletic, providing an opportunity for him to gain valuable playing time.

The team's previous clubs include Ipswich Town, Manchester City U21, Nottingham Forest, FC Empoli, Leicester, Sheffield United, Bolton, Plymouth, and Sheffield Wednesday. Under the guidance of Reynolds and McElhenney, Wrexham has climbed meteorically through the English football tiers and is currently in the Championship.

However, not all departures have been incoming. Sam Dalby, Will Boyle, and Luke McNicholas have left Wrexham, joining Bolton Wanderers, Shrewsbury Town, and Forest Green Rovers, respectively. Ollie Palmer and Jacob Mendy do not have a future at Wrexham ahead of their Championship opener.

Wrexham's transfer spending in the 2025-26 summer window exceeds £25m ($33m), with the latest signing, Callum Doyle, joining from Manchester City for approximately £7.5m ($10.1m).
