Final game at Stindl Stadium - Leitl transforms into a gatecrasher.

Big emotions await!

Farewells will be said to Lars Stindl (35) and Jerome Gondorf (35) during their last home game of their careers. Stefan Leitl (46), the coach of 96, wants to thank them but also ensure a strong performance on the field.

Leitl aims to be the first to win in Karlsruhe after winter break

According to Leitl, "it's a good incentive to be the first team to win there in the second half of the season." Karlsruhe has had an impressive run at home after the winter break, remaining undefeated and being the best team in that period.

KSC could secure fifth place with a win, while Hannover would match points with fifth-placed KSC if they win by three goals. A two-goal win for Hannover could also see them overtake Karlsruher.

Leitl says, "we want to put pressure on fifth place and finish this season half well. We need to play our game aggressively and confidently going forward. We mustn't focus too much on KSC."

Injury updates

Phil Neumann (yellow card suspension) and Havard Nielsen (hamstring problem) won't be available for the game. Mo Damar and Antonio Foti will play for the U23s, as will Toni Stahl.

Sei Muroya (foot injury) is fit to play. "He'll be able to play," Leitl confirmed. Neumann will likely be replaced by Yannik Lührs, who made a brief appearance in the 2:1 win against Fürth.

Leitl said that Neumann could be replaced by Lührs. The young defender started in the season's second half opener against Elversberg (2:2) and saw just one minute of action against Fürth (2:1).
