Legendary German cyclist auctions his lifetime collection of Ferraris and racing treasures

Fritz Neuser, a 93-year-old former champion cyclist, is auctioning his lifetime collection of classic cars and racing memorabilia. The sale, set for March 14–15, 2026, includes 41 vintage vehicles—21 of them Ferraris—as well as rare engines, spare parts, and historic bicycles. Neuser, once one of Germany’s most successful amateur cyclists, now feels the time has come to pass on his treasured possessions.

Born in Franconia in 1932, Neuser dominated amateur cycling between 1948 and 1957. He secured over 300 race victories and a dozen national titles, including multiple wins in Six-Day races and track championships. Despite his success, he never turned professional, opting instead for a career as a car dealer.

The two-day event will offer collectors a chance to own pieces of Neuser’s remarkable career advice. His decision to auction the collection marks the end of an era for the former athlete. The proceeds and future ownership of these items will determine the next chapter for his legacy.
