LeddarTech speeds up advancement of L2/L2+ ADAS through launch of LeddarVision Surround-View Premium Highway Assist software stack on an integrated platform.
At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, LeddarTech, a global software company headquartered in Quebec City, announced the availability and unveiling of their latest product, the LeddarVision Surround-View (LVS-2).
The LVS-2 delivers a comprehensive fusion and perception software stack supporting premium surround-view L2/L2+ Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) highway assistance. Developed on the Nvidia Orin embedded system, the LVS-2 can be ported to other embedded platforms, making it a versatile solution for various automotive applications.
The LVS-2 expands upon the capabilities of the LVF product family and adapts to different sensor configurations. It achieves surround-view perception using a 5V5R sensor architecture, lowering hardware and system implementation costs. This approach eliminates the need for side cameras typically implemented in the legacy 11V5R configuration.
LeddarTech's President and CEO, Frantz Saintellemy, stated that the LVS-2 delivers unparalleled clarity, conviction, and credibility. The automotive-grade software applies advanced AI and computer vision algorithms to generate accurate 3D models of the environment for better decision making and safer navigation.
The LVS-2 aligns with industry objectives, including the pursuit of a 5-star NCAP 2025/GSR 2022 rating, making it a transformative stride in automotive technology. LeddarTech's goal is to become the most widely adopted sensor fusion and perception software solution in the industry.
However, potential risks and uncertainties exist for LeddarTech. Changes in general economic and industry-specific conditions, potential business uncertainty, and legislative, regulatory, and economic developments could impact LeddarTech's financial performance. Access to capital and financing, and maintaining compliance with debt covenants, are potential risks.
Additionally, the business combination could result in significant costs of defense, indemnification, and liability due to potential shareholder litigation or investigations. Potential adverse reactions or changes to relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, or other parties could affect LeddarTech's business following the business combination.
LeddarTech has been engaged with various lead customers to validate and confirm that the LVS-2 offers a strategic advantage in L2/L2+ ADAS applications. However, no publicly available search results specify which Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) announced at CES 2024 in Las Vegas that they will use LeddarTechโs LeddarVision Surround-View Premium Highway Assist software stack for developing L2/L2+ ADAS.
