Leaders from around the world are continuing to send congratulatory messages on National Day to Vietnam.

Vietnam celebrated its 80th National Day on September 2, with a wave of congratulatory messages pouring in from world leaders. The occasion was marked by expressions of admiration for Vietnam's strength, resilience, and contributions to the international community.

Belarusian leaders praised the Communist Party of Vietnam's wise leadership in national liberation and development causes. President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, sent congratulations to Party General Secretary Tô Lâm and State President Lương Cường. The Speaker of the Council of the Republic of Belarus and the Speaker of the House of Representatives extended their greetings to National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mãn.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen described the 80th National Day as a testament to Vietnam's strength and resilience. She expressed pride in Denmark's role as a close partner of the country.

From Europe, the President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, congratulated the Party leader of Vietnam, affirming the European Union's honor to accompany Vietnam since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1990. King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexander and Spanish King Felipe VI extended congratulations to President Lương Cường and the people of Vietnam. German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier highlighted that 2025 marks 50 years of diplomatic relations between Germany and Vietnam, underscoring the growing partnership built on a constructive spirit and mutual prosperity and peace.

Leaders from across the globe also extended their well-wishes. Leader of Germany's Social Democratic Party, Lars Klingbeil, and co-leaders of the Left Party (Die Linke), Ines Schwerdtner and Jan van Aken, sent congratulatory letters to the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee. King Charles III of the United Kingdom sent a congratulatory message to President Lương Cường and the people of Vietnam, praising Vietnam's spiritual strength, cultural traditions, solidarity, resilience, and increasing contributions to the international community.

The foreign ministers of the Philippines, Japan, France, Belarus, Brazil, and the Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) also sent congratulatory messages to the Foreign Minister of Vietnam.

From the Middle East, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi praised the traditional friendship between Egypt and Vietnam, expressing hope for the strengthening of bilateral ties. Leaders of the United Arab Emirates (President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan) conveyed their wishes for Vietnam's continued development and prosperity.

Venezuelan leaders also joined in the celebrations. From the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, President Nicolas Maduro Moros congratulated President Lương Cường, expressing admiration and paying tribute to late President Hồ Chí Minh. Leaders of multiple Venezuelan political parties also sent congratulations to the Party General Secretary Tô Lâm.

The Co-Chairs of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Chung Eui-yong and Mushahid Hussain Sayed congratulated the Party chief of Vietnam, noting Vietnam's resilience, solidarity, and remarkable progress. From Italy, President Sergio Mattarella congratulated President Lương Cường, affirming that the Vietnam-Italy relations are built on a foundation of trust and cooperation.

However, there are no specific publicly available details about what the Belgian head of government sent or communicated on the occasion of Vietnam's 80th National Day. Nonetheless, the outpouring of congratulatory messages serves as a testament to the respect and admiration the international community holds for Vietnam's achievements.
