The Friedrichshafen Messe is currently playing host to one of the most significant events for Western fans in Europe – the "Americana" fair. This annual gathering attracts Western enthusiasts from all over Germany and beyond, with over 50,000 visitors expected during the fair.
The fairgrounds are bustling with activity, as approximately 460 horses and 650 cattle have been brought in for the riding shows, a significant highlight of the event. Alongside these, 700 tons of sand, 100 tons of forest soil, and 40 tons of hay have been transported into the fair halls, creating an authentic Western atmosphere.
Among the many attractions, the saloon at the Western event, named after a well-known Western series, is called the "Yellowstone Saloon". Visitors can also enjoy a drink at the Truck Bar run by Dirk Trautmann.
This year, more than 300 exhibitors from 16 nations are participating in the fair, showcasing a wide range of Western-themed goods and services. The fair will conclude on Sunday, providing visitors with four days of Western-themed fun and entertainment.
The "Americana" fair is not just a celebration of the Wild West, but also a gathering of like-minded individuals who share a passion for the Western genre. It's a chance to immerse yourself in the culture, enjoy the riding shows, and discover a wealth of Western-themed products.
