Law enforcement officials in Stuttgart have detained an individual accused of bike theft.

Stuttgart, Germany - A 23-year-old dual German-Turkish citizen was arrested on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in connection with a break-in and theft at a bicycle shop on Dennerstraße.

According to reports, the suspect was caught in the act of breaking into the shop around 1:30 AM, using a manhole cover to smash the store's window. The individual was later found in possession of a stolen bicycle worth approximately 1,500 euros. The damage to the store was estimated to be several thousand euros.

The arrested individual will be brought before an examining magistrate on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the request of the Stuttgart prosecutor's office.
